Travel to Australia

All about my trip to Australia….

We proceed to the Noosa 4WD tour today…i am looking forward to this adventure tour…

Tour is operated by :-
Noosa 4WD Eco Tours
http://www.noosa4wdtours.com.au

They are the only company running modified 4wd buses through the Cooloola Section of the Great Sandy National Park and can cater from 4 – 64…

This is the track that we are supposed to travel on today…rather long day but it is certainly one of the best part of the whole trip…

The drive is quite “bumpy” as quite a large part of the drive was on “unsealed” road thus this is not suitable for you if you are pregnant or having back problems.

Arrived at the Rainbow beach after travelling for approx 2 hours….

A short lunch break (Lunch is included in the tour cost) here….chance to take a stroll on the beach before we proceed again to Poona Lake where we learn a bit about the rainforest…Our group photo with our driver cum guide of the day – Michael…

The most exciting part of the drive begins……Double Island Point….driving on sand…spectacular views ! It is just like a private beach ! The only way to do the drive is on 4WD vehicle thus self drive on normal vehicle is not allow on this routing…

Having great fun at the beach, for those who wants to swim….dont forget your additional clothing…

See how close the vehicle was to the water…..

Very basic toilets found on the beach….

I have posted a short video @  on the 4WD drive ……come “onboard” with me on this spectacular drive !

The last part of the tour is the part which we spend most of our time – The Red Canyon (Sand Cliff).

We were told by Michael that we break his record ! For being the group which took the longest time to reach the top ! I think we spent at least half and hour on the climb which he manage to do it within 5 mins !

I was the third (out of 7) who reach …… the sand is so fine that you feel yourself slipping down every time u attempt to go forward.

I realized that the best way to conquer the cliff is to go fast !

Starting the “climb”

See the colors on the sand cliff…..

I was half way thru taking a picture of my mates who are still struggling with the climb…

Finally reached the top ! It was a breathtaking view !

Celebrating !

The way to gets down is as steep as the way we came up ! Micheal said the best way is to jump ! but guess what some of us did ? we slide down !!!

(warning : you will get dirty / discoloration of your pants or shorts) if you do that……

Finally we have completed the climb at The Red Canyon and that also end the tour ! Great experience !
